Caring for Someone Living with Dementia

Oakley Friends Dementia Carer Course

Oakley Friends is a volunteer-led group of carers and former carers who support someone with dementia. They run a free 10-week course twice a year (April and September), covering a wide range of topics.

This course is a great way to learn, share experiences, and connect with others who understand.

Dementia Discussions Toolkit

Created by the City and Hackney Carers Centre, this free toolkit includes:

  • A question-and-answer series
  • Practical advice for everyday challenges
  • Tips for having supportive conversations

It’s a useful resource for carers who want to feel more prepared and informed.
