Learning Disabilities Carer Representation Service

Do you Care for someone with a learning disability in Bournemouth, Christchurch, or Poole?

Minstead Trust, commissioned by BCP Council, Provides a Learning Disabilities Carer Representation Service to ensure carers of people with learning disabilities have a voice in shaping local services.

What this service offers:

  • Share you experiences with BCP Council, and the NHS to help improve services.
  • Connect with other family carers to exchange advice and support.
  • Stay informed about learning disability services and local developments.
  • Have your say at the Family Carers Forum on Zoom, where you can raise issues and discuss challenges.
  • Hear from guest speakers, including representatives from Adult Social Care, NHS Dorset, Local Councillors, and charities.
  • Receive updates, including meeting minutes, local consultations, and co-production work.
  • Flexible participation - no need to commit to attending meetings regularly. You can also provide feedback by email or phone.
