Holiday lodge breaks
We have two lodges offering breaks for carers: one in Devon and one in Weymouth. These breaks are for carers who support someone who pays Council Tax to BCP Council.
Who can apply
To apply for a lodge break, you must:
- be a carer
- be registered with the BCP Carer Support – Carers Information Service
- support someone who pays Council Tax to BCP Council
If you’re not registered yet, you can join the Carers Information Service by completing our online registration form.
How to apply for a holiday lodge break
To apply, you'll need to complete our application form.
Because we have a limited number of breaks, we review all applications carefully. This helps us offer breaks to carers who may benefit the most from some time away.
After we review your application, we’ll contact you by email or post to let you know the outcome.
Because the lodges are very popular, carers can book a lodge once every two years.
Cost of the holiday lodge breaks
There’s a £20 per night booking fee.
You’ll need to arrange and pay for your own travel and any trips while you’re there.
Most park facilities are free to use during the season. There’s a small charge for using the leisure facilities at the Weymouth lodge.
Staying at the lodges
Breaks run from Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday.
The holiday parks and their facilities are open from March to October or November.
Pets aren’t allowed at either lodge.
